WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP
This event promises a wonderful gathering that will stimulate your curiosity about where your own leadership can be of most benefit and inspire you to offer it in service to the needs of this time. You can look forward to stories, music, poetry to inspire us to step forward as leaders.

MARGARET WHEATLEY speaker, consultant, author and co-founder of The BERKANA INSTITUTE
The Berkana Institute connects and supports pioneering, life-affirming leaders around the world who strengthen their communities by working with the wisdom and wealth already present in its people, traditions and environment. The Berkana Institute defines a leader as anyone who wants to help, who is willing to step forward to create change in their world.
We know that the leaders we need are already here. Sponsorship of this workshop by the Incarnate Word Foundation benefits the Berkana Institute.

Women & Environment

If you have not had time to see the WCA St. Louis and Philadelphia collaborative juried exhibition 'Women and Environment' at the Florissant Valley Contemporary Art Gallery there is still time. The show is up until Thursday April 2 (less than 2 weeks). Gallery hours are M-F 10-4 and Sat 10-3. The Gallery is located in IR111 on the campus of STLCC-Florissant Valley, 3400 Pershall Road.

The exhibition will travel to the Riverside Gallery, 13 W. Moody Ave., Webster Groves, MO where it will be on view from April 7-30, with an artist's reception on Friday April 24 from 7-10pm.

CALL TO SUBMIT
This second leg of the exhibition will incorporate a small non-juried members only exhibition. The theme will be similar to the main exhibition, "Women and Environment," which deals with women and their relationship to their environment: environment can be interpreted as social, ecological, psychological, physical, cultural or historical. The title of the members only show is "Women, Place, Space." The work submitted for this exhibition will run concurrently with the "Women and Environment" exhibit but will be exhibited in a separate gallery space at the Riverside Gallery.

Eligibility:
Open to all women artists who are 2009 members of the St. Louis chapter of the Women's Caucus for Art. Members may submit up to 2 pieces of work, however due to the number of entries received, space limitations, and the curator's/gallery director's discretion only one piece may be displayed.
2-D & 3-D work may be submitted. Video work may be submitted, but it is the responsibility of the artist to provide all viewing equipment. All work must have been created within the last two years. Work submitted must not have been previously exhibited in any exhibition sponsored by WCA-STL. Artwork should be submitted framed or in an alternative presentation form and ready to hang. Work without the appropriate hanging apparatus will be disqualified. No ceiling suspended artwork. No work larger than 5'ft in any direction.

Fee and Drop off:
The fee is $5 per piece submitted and is due when you drop off the work. Drop off will be Friday April 3 from 10-4 at the Riverside Gallery.

Sales:
Riverside Gallery take no commission. A 25% commission will be retained and donated to 'Women place'-a safe place for women who have experienced violence. Women's place provides crisis intervention, support groups, self-growth programs and community education.
Work remains the property of the artist until sold. Sold artwork must remain in the exhibition until the last day of the show.

Members wishing to submit work must e-mail the following information to
art1hort2@mac.com
by Wednesday, April 1, 6pm.
Space is limited and will be provided on a first come first served basis.
